--------- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ----------- gTLD domains return to 2001 levels Lexington, KY – August 25, 2003 Zooknic (www.zooknic.com) reports that on August 21, 2003 the total number of .com, .net and .org domain names returned to the high mark of 30.7 million recorded back in October 2001. Domain names declined dramatically during the first two quarters of 2002 shrinking by 3.6 million registrations. July 2002 marked the first sustained month of positive growth and domain names and over the course of the next 13 months total com/net/org registrations grew an average of 250,000 a month.
